The future of healthcare: focus shifts to prevention
According to PwC's latest global healthcare report, significant changes are expected in medical care. The survey points out that people worldwide, including in Hungary, are increasingly dissatisfied with the current system that focuses exclusively on treatment.
65 percent of respondents would like healthcare systems to place the emphasis on disease prevention in the future. This means that the focus will shift from hospital treatments to lifestyle, screenings, and health preservation.
According to experts, the future of healthcare will no longer take place only within the walls of institutions. Modern technology, such as smart devices and remote diagnostics, will allow patients to monitor their condition at home, enabling professionals to respond to problems more quickly.
This shift in perspective could reduce the burden on hospitals in the long term and improve the quality of life. The goal is to create a sustainable system that not only heals but actively supports people in maintaining their health.
