Planned Chinese factory in Hungary will not be built after all
An important change has occurred in the field of industrial investments in Hungary: it has become official that the major project previously planned by a Chinese company in the country will not be realized.
The project included plans for the construction of a five-thousand-square-meter factory. The total value of the investment would have amounted to 38 billion forints, which would have represented significant economic development for the selected region.
According to official information, the investment has fallen through, and the planned plant will not be built. No detailed information regarding the background of the decision or the exact reasons has been released to the press so far.
This decision means that the 38 billion forint capital injection will not arrive in the country, and the originally planned jobs will not be created at the factory site. Experts say that the cancellation of projects of this magnitude always has a sensitive impact on local economic plans.
