New technology arrives in Budapest cinemas: LED wall replaces traditional screen
A revolutionary innovation has arrived in Hungarian cinemas: the region's first Samsung Onyx LED cinema hall has been opened at the Lurdy Ház in Budapest. This technology completely breaks away from traditional projector-based screening and uses a massive, direct-emissive LED wall to display images.
According to experts, the new solution represents a significant leap in quality for viewers. By using LED walls, images are sharper and colors are much more vivid than with classic screens. The system provides 4K resolution images and also supports the screening of 3D films, allowing visitors to enjoy an even more detailed visual experience.
This development is also special because it is the first installation of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. A major advantage of the technology is that black levels are much deeper and the contrast is stronger than in traditional cinemas, where light reflection often degraded image quality.
For cinema fans in Budapest, this investment takes the movie-going experience to a new level. The technological shift shows that cinemas in Hungary are keeping pace with international trends and are striving to attract audiences to their halls with the most modern equipment.
