We can now sign contracts digitally in the DÁP application
The Digital Citizenship Program (DÁP) mobile application has been expanded with an important innovation. Users can now use an integrated e-signature function, which allows for the authentication of various documents and contracts directly via their phones.
The essence of this innovation is that citizens will no longer need to appear in person at customer service centers in the future if they wish to sign an official document. The process is entirely digital, allowing them to handle their affairs comfortably from home, which means significant time savings in everyday life.
Using the system is simple and secure. The application identifies the user by connecting to state databases and then authenticates the document through an electronic signature. This solution complies with the strictest security standards, meaning that digitally signed documents are considered legally fully valid.
The goal of DÁP is to make Hungarian public administration more modern and faster. The introduction of the e-signature is another step toward enabling citizens to handle most of their affairs paperlessly and digitally. According to the developers, the application will be expanded with further features in the future so that even more services become available via mobile phones.
