Hungarians have decided: this is where you'll find the most beautiful view of Budapest
Budapest boasts numerous beautiful spots from which a wonderful panorama of the city unfolds. In a recent survey, the Hungarian public was asked which location they believe offers the most beautiful view of the capital.
The vast majority of respondents identified the Citadel as the top choice. From the historic fortress located at the top of Gellért Hill, the entire city can be seen, so it is no surprise that this is the most popular choice among both locals and tourists for enjoying the view of Budapest.
However, the list did not end with the Citadel. Also finishing in the top spots were the Fisherman's Bastion in the Buda Castle District, which attracts visitors with its fairytale-like setting. In addition, the promenades along the Danube are exceptionally popular, offering a unique perspective from which to admire the Parliament building and the bridges.
Although opinions vary, the survey clearly shows that Budapest residents are proud of their city's natural and architectural heritage. Whether it is an evening stroll or a sunny weekend excursion, these locations are guaranteed to provide an unforgettable experience for everyone.
