Cyberattack hits the Hungarian State Treasury's agricultural subsidy system
A serious IT issue has occurred at the Hungarian State Treasury after its agricultural subsidy system was hit by a cyberattack. The authorities have immediately initiated security measures to protect data and restore the smooth operation of services.
As a result of the attack, electronic administration interfaces are currently available to a limited extent. This means that farmers and clients working in the agricultural sector are temporarily unable to fully utilize certain services or should expect longer waiting times.
In its statement, the Hungarian State Treasury emphasized that specialists are already working on resolving the issue. The organization asks clients to monitor official communication channels, where updated information regarding the status of the system will be published continuously.
The authorities ask for patience from the affected farmers until the technical problems are fully resolved. According to experts, even stricter security protocols will be applied to state IT systems in the future to prevent similar attacks.
