Chairman of the Board of Magyar Posta dismissed
An important personnel change has taken place at Hungarian state-owned companies: by government decision, Dr. Géza Láng no longer holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Magyar Posta Zrt. The news was announced by the relevant ministry, although no detailed information regarding the exact reasons for the dismissal has been provided yet.
Dr. Géza Láng had previously led the company's board for several years. Magyar Posta is one of the country's largest employers, providing mail and parcel delivery services, as well as financial transactions for the public, throughout the entire country.
As part of the government's decision, further changes have also taken place in the company's management. According to experts, the goal of these personnel changes may be more efficient operation and the strategic transformation of the company, particularly in the areas of digital services and parcel logistics, where there has been intense market competition recently.
The government will soon release further information regarding the identity of the new chairman and the details of the appointment. In its statement, Magyar Posta emphasized that despite the changes, services for the public will continue without interruption, and post offices will continue to welcome customers as usual.
