Mysterious stench spreads in Debrecen: authorities are still searching for the source
An unpleasant and strong odor has been spreading across several districts of Debrecen in recent days, causing significant concern among local residents. Residents have reported the disturbing smell from multiple locations, prompting the local government to launch an investigation.
According to Mayor László Papp, the city administration immediately began consultations with potential stakeholders and the relevant authorities. The goal is to identify the source of the odor as soon as possible and eliminate the problem affecting the public.
However, investigations conducted by the authorities so far have not yet been able to clearly determine where the unpleasant smell is coming from. Experts are continuously checking nearby industrial facilities and the sewage network to rule out potential causes.
the local government asks residents to be patient until the investigations are concluded. The city leadership has promised to inform the public immediately as soon as they have reliable information regarding the origin of the odor.
