More than 2,600 billion forints in state funds have been placed into capital funds since 2013
According to the latest report by Transparency International Hungary, a significant amount of public money has flowed into various forms of investment in recent years. Since 2013, four state organizations, including the National Capital Holding (Nemzeti Tőkeholding Zrt.), have made financial commitments to a total of 98 different capital funds.
Based on official data, the invested amount reaches 2,645 billion forints. These state organizations established these funds to support economic growth and assist in the development of businesses within the country.
The operation of capital funds and the use of public funds often come into the spotlight. Experts believe it is important for investments to be transparent and for the public to see exactly what purposes state funds are being used for.
The report highlights that the system of state capital funds has become a key player in the Hungarian economy over the past decade. In the future, it will be a priority for authorities and the organizations involved to ensure the efficient and lawful use of these resources.
