Hungarian-Polish medical conference to be held at Semmelweis University
Semmelweis University will host a significant international scientific event in the summer of 2026. The 4th Interdisciplinary Hungarian-Polish Scientific Conference and Workshop will focus on oncology, namely the research and treatment of cancerous diseases.
The main professional program will be held on June 19, 2026, in the Semmelweis Salon located in the university's Rectorate Building. The event provides an opportunity for professionals from the two countries to meet in person and discuss the latest medical findings.
Oncology is one of the most important fields of medicine, as the fight against cancer represents a serious challenge worldwide. The cooperation between Hungarian and Polish researchers aims to improve patients' chances of recovery and the effectiveness of treatments by sharing experiences.
The interdisciplinary nature of the conference is particularly important, as it means that representatives from several different fields work together. The joint work of doctors, researchers, and other experts helps in understanding diseases from multiple perspectives and finding more modern solutions.
This meeting not only serves scientific progress but also further strengthens the traditionally close relationship between the Hungarian and Polish academic communities. With this event, Semmelweis University once again confirms its central role in the region's medical education and international research.
