The 53rd Medical Cup was held in Pécs
Between April 9 and 11, Pécs hosted the 53rd Medical Cup. At this prestigious sporting event, students from Hungary's medical universities measured their skills against one another in various sports.
The team from the host institution, the University of Pécs Medical School, also participated in the competition. The Pécs students performed excellently on home turf and ultimately stood on the second step of the podium.
Teams from Budapest, Szeged, and Debrecen also arrived for the event. For the participants, the cup was not only about sports but also about community building and strengthening connections between medical students from different cities.
According to the organizers, the event was a success, and supporting athletic cooperation among medical students will remain an important goal in the future. The silver medal won by the Pécs team is a source of pride for the local community as well.
