Strike begins at Hanon Systems plant in Székesfehérvár
Workers have announced a strike at the Hanon Systems automotive parts plant in Székesfehérvár. The employees decided to stop work because they are dissatisfied with the current wage conditions and the company's offer.
Trade unions and workers are collectively demanding a 10 percent wage increase from the company. In contrast, the company's management has offered an increase of only 4 percent. According to the workers, the company did not even fully implement this smaller increase, which further worsened the atmosphere of the negotiations.
Hanon Systems is a major employer in Székesfehérvár, so the strike is having an impact on the local economy and the factory's production processes. The employees' goal is to offset the inflationary effects of the recent period with a wage increase and to improve their living conditions.
It is not yet known how long the work stoppage will last or whether the parties will be able to reach common ground. Union leaders and company representatives are expected to continue negotiations to resolve the situation.
