Significant increase in poultry slaughter in Hungary in the first half of the year
A significant increase was recorded in the Hungarian poultry industry in the first five months of this year. According to the latest data, the volume of slaughtered poultry reached 291,000 tons, expressed in live weight.
This volume exceeds the data for the same period of the previous year by 19.1 percent. The sector's performance has therefore shown a spectacular rise compared to last year, which is a positive sign for the domestic food industry.
Poultry meat is a defining element of the Hungarian diet, so the growth in production is also an important factor for the security of domestic supply. According to experts, the higher slaughter figures may be related to an increase in market demand and the expansion of production capacities.
