Pécs medical student team finishes in second place at the Medical Cup
The 53rd Medical Cup was held between April 9 and 11, with the city of Pécs serving as this year's host. At the prestigious sporting event, students from the country's medical universities measured their skills against one another in various sports.
The team from the University of Pécs Medical School performed excellently at the competition held on home turf. After tough battles, the Pécs students were ultimately able to stand on the second step of the podium, achieving a distinguished placement in the prestigious field.
Competitors from Budapest, Szeged, and Debrecen also arrived for the three-day event. The Medical Cup is not only about athletic performance but is also an important community-building event that creates opportunities to deepen connections among medical students.
According to the organizers, the Pécs event was a success, and the participants competed with each other in a sportsmanlike manner. The silver medal won by the Pécs team fills the university community with pride and provides a good foundation for next year's preparations.
