Fuel consumption increased significantly in Hungary in the first half of the year
According to the latest data from the Hungarian Petroleum Association, fuel consumption in Hungary increased during the first six months of this year. Retail sales data show that both households and companies purchased more fuel at gas stations than in the same period of the previous year.
Based on the statistics, the demand for motor gasoline rose by 8.5 percent in the first half of the year. This growth indicates that motorists are driving more or refueling their vehicles more frequently than they were a year ago.
In the case of diesel, the increase was even greater: consumption exceeded last year's figures by 11.7 percent. The rise in demand for diesel is often linked to economic activity, such as freight and transport, which play an important role in the country's economy.
Based on the data, it can be said that the fuel market turnover showed significant expansion in the first half of 2024. According to experts, several factors may be behind this growth, including economic trends and changes in travel habits. Data from the coming months will show whether this trend will continue in the second half of the year.
