Only Bulgaria expects a better sunflower harvest in the European Union
Producers in the European Union's agricultural regions are facing serious challenges this year. According to the latest satellite surveys, a decrease in sunflower harvests is expected in almost every member state of the union compared to last year's data.
The report reveals that weather conditions and drought have negatively affected plant development in many countries. As a result, experts expect lower yields in most EU member states than in the previous year.
In contrast, Bulgaria is an exception to current trends. Based on satellite estimates, it is the only EU member state where farmers could achieve better results in the sunflower harvest than last year.
This situation could also impact the European sunflower oil market and price trends. It is important for Hungarian consumers and agricultural professionals to monitor these international developments, as the volume of the harvest directly influences food prices in the region.
