Major Hungarian companies in serious danger: nine out of ten firms have already been hit by cyberattacks
Alarming data has come to light regarding the IT security of companies in Hungary. According to a recent domestic study, the majority of large corporations have already encountered some form of cyberattack, which serves as a serious warning for the economic sector.
Based on the survey results, nine out of ten large companies have already fallen victim to some form of digital attack. This ratio shows that criminals are increasingly targeting key players in the Hungarian economy, exploiting weaknesses inherent in IT systems.
According to experts, the reason behind these attacks is often that companies do not pay enough attention to proper protection. The research pointed out that although technology is advancing, many companies still experience deficiencies in adhering to security protocols and in training their employees.
Incidents can cause not only financial loss but also jeopardize the reputation of companies. The goal of attackers is usually to obtain sensitive data or to paralyze the operations of companies, for which they later demand a ransom.
Overall, the research sends a clear message to the domestic business world: the issue of cybersecurity is no longer a negligible task, but a fundamental part of company operations. In the future, the continuous development of security systems and increasing employee awareness will be essential to prevent similar attacks.
