More than 2.6 trillion forints of public money has gone into capital funds

According to the latest report by Transparency International Hungary, a significant amount of public money has flowed into various capital funds in recent years. Based on the organization's data, since 2013, four state organizations, including the National Capital Holding (NTH) Zrt., have undertaken financial commitments to a total of 98 different capital funds.

The report highlights that the total amount of state investment reaches 2,645 billion forints. These capital funds are forms of investment that are, in principle, intended to support economic growth and the development of businesses. However, the extent of state involvement often sparks debate among economic experts.

NTH National Capital Holding Zrt. coordinates these processes, through which the state provides venture capital for various projects. With this report, Transparency International aims to make the distribution of state resources more transparent and to draw attention to the way public funds are utilized.

The period examined spans more than a decade, which clearly illustrates the direction of state economic policy. The report analyzes in detail which organizations participated in the process and under what conditions the capital funds obtained state resources.

Further developments in the matter are expected to be prominent in public discourse, as the management of public funds and the transparency of state investments are key issues for the Hungarian economy. According to experts, precise accountability will be even more important in the future for these high-value transactions.
