Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing work at the BMW plant in Debrecen
One of the most important technology events of the year, the AI Summit Budapest 2026 conference, was held in Budapest. At the record-breaking event, the industrial application of artificial intelligence and digitalization took center stage, with a particular focus on developments in Hungary.
One of the keynote speakers at the conference was Judit Horváth, the executive responsible for the production system at BMW Manufacturing Hungary Kft. in Debrecen. In her presentation, she demonstrated how they use state-of-the-art technologies in car manufacturing to make processes even more efficient and precise.
The expert emphasized that the BMW plant in Debrecen follows the principle of "human-centric, data-driven manufacturing." This means that artificial intelligence does not replace people, but rather supports their work, helping to prevent errors and optimize production.
This development is not only important for BMW, but also represents a milestone for the entire Hungarian economy. This level of digitalization increases the plant's competitiveness in the international market and creates new jobs in the region.
The event highlighted that Hungary is playing an increasingly important role in European technological innovation. The example of Debrecen clearly shows what significant results the combination of modern industrial solutions and expertise can bring to the future of car manufacturing.
