Indamedia Group's profit grew significantly last year
The Indamedia Group, which operates the Index.hu news portal among others, has reported significant financial growth. According to the group's annual report, the company's profit rose from 839 million HUF to 2.4 billion HUF for the 2024 financial year.
Although the holding company's profit expanded spectacularly, the performance of the individual media outlets within the group shows a mixed picture. The revenue of the publishers of Index and Blikk has barely changed in the recent period, indicating that revenues have stagnated at these key publications.
Within the group, Totalcar continues to face challenges. According to the latest data, the popular automotive magazine remained loss-making, which highlights that the various business lines of the media company have achieved differing economic results.
Indamedia is one of the most influential players in the Hungarian online media market. The data just released clearly shows that the holding company has had a successful year overall, while at the same time, the economic situation of certain brands in its portfolio continues to require attention in the future.
