Rome through the eyes of young Hungarian artists: a new exhibition has opened at MOME
The latest exhibition at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) invites visitors on a special journey. The exhibition, titled "On-Site Inspection," focuses on the Italian capital, Rome, as seen through the perspectives of young Hungarian artists and designers.
The creators used the city's characteristic elements as the basis for their work. The exhibition showcases Rome's famous graffiti, the city's unique so-called "talking statues," and the everyday life of its public spaces. These visual experiences provided the inspiration for the young talents.
The goal of the project is to present the Eternal City from a new perspective. The artists examined not only the historical monuments but also the pulse of modern Rome and the changes in the urban environment. Through the exhibited works, visitors can gain insight into how a contemporary Hungarian creator views one of the centers of classical European culture.
The "On-Site Inspection" exhibition is an important milestone for MOME students, as it gives them the opportunity to artistically process international experiences. The exhibition is recommended not only for those interested in architecture and design but for anyone curious about the meeting of contemporary Hungarian art and Italian culture.
