Volunteers cleaned up the environment on World Cleanup Day in Debrecen
World Cleanup Day is one of the most important environmental initiatives in the world, aimed at taking collective action against waste problems. This year, 25 million volunteers joined the program worldwide to work together for a cleaner and more livable environment.
In Hungary, waste collection campaigns were organized in many cities, including Debrecen. In the "civis city," several local companies and civil organizations joined forces to clear public spaces and green areas of discarded waste.
Throughout the day, participants collected several bags of trash, setting an example of environmentally conscious thinking. The organizers emphasized that such events not only improve the cleanliness of our immediate surroundings but also strengthen community cohesion.
The success of the campaign clearly shows that the public and businesses are paying increasing attention to sustainability. Representatives of the companies participating in the Debrecen event stated that they would like to continue similar environmental initiatives in the future.
The message of World Cleanup Day is clear: protecting our environment is our shared responsibility. The successful collaboration in Debrecen proves that with small steps, but through joint effort, we can achieve significant change for a cleaner future.
