Smriti Mandhana Shines with 83 as India Faces Tough Battle Against England
The Indian women’s cricket team is currently facing a challenging situation in their latest match against England. While the team started strong, a sudden change in momentum has given their opponents a chance to win. The match has become a major talking point for cricket fans across India.
Star batter Smriti Mandhana was the highlight of the Indian innings. She played a brilliant knock, scoring 83 runs and showing great control against the English bowlers. At one point, her performance made it look like India would easily reach a very high total and dominate the entire game.
However, the situation changed quickly during the second half of the innings. India’s middle and lower-order batters struggled to keep the scoreboard moving. The team lost their last six wickets for just 96 runs, which prevented them from reaching a much larger and more secure score.
In the end, India was bowled out for a total of 285 runs. While this is a respectable score in international cricket, the sudden loss of wickets has handed England a route back into the contest. The English team now has a clear opportunity to chase the target and put pressure on the Indian side.
The match remains closely balanced as both teams fight for control. Indian fans are now looking toward their bowlers to perform well and defend the total of 285. The final result will depend on whether the Indian bowling attack can take early wickets and stop England’s momentum.
