Iran attacks Bahrain with drones; 14 die in crash
Iran has launched direct drone and missile attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait, marking a sharp escalation in regional conflict. This follows U.S. strikes on Iranian military sites and a fatal helicopter crash in neighboring Saudi Arabia.
Expect heightened security and potential travel disruptions following Iranian drone and missile strikes on Bahraini and Kuwaiti territory. The attacks were launched in response to U.S. military strikes on 10 targets within Iran, including drone storage and radar installations. U.S. President Donald Trump stated the strikes were a response to ceasefire violations and warned of further escalation, while Iran has threatened to halt all peace negotiations.
Fourteen people have died following a helicopter crash in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, a major oil hub located near Bahrain’s coast. The aircraft belonged to Aramco, the Saudi state-owned oil company. Saudi state media confirmed the fatalities on Sunday, though the cause of the crash has not yet been released.
