Bengaluru Woman Reports Harassment and Forced Entry by Delivery Agent
A woman in Bengaluru has filed a police complaint following a disturbing encounter with a delivery agent at her home. The incident has sparked a conversation about the safety of residents who rely on home delivery services in major Indian cities. According to the victim, the situation escalated quickly after she refused a request from the worker.
The incident began when the delivery agent arrived at the woman's apartment to drop off a package. After completing the delivery, the man reportedly asked to use the woman's private toilet. When she denied his request for security reasons, the agent allegedly forced his way into her home against her will.
Once inside the apartment, the woman claimed that the man behaved inappropriately and flashed her. The victim was able to raise an alarm, and the delivery agent eventually fled the scene. She immediately contacted the local police to report the crime and shared her experience on social media to warn others living in the area.
Local authorities have confirmed that an investigation is currently underway. They are working with the delivery platform to identify the individual involved and check his employment records. This case has highlighted the need for stricter background checks and better safety protocols for workers who have direct access to people's homes.
Public reaction to the news has been strong, with many social media users expressing concern over the safety of women living alone. Safety experts suggest that residents should use security cameras and avoid letting service providers inside their homes unless it is absolutely necessary. The delivery company has not yet released an official statement regarding the specific incident.
