Indonesian Minister of Health Launches Oasis Wangi: 24-Hour Health Consultation Service in Banyuwangi
The Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, has officially launched an innovative program called Online Akses Solusi Indonesia Sehat, abbreviated as Oasis Wangi. The launch took place directly in Banyuwangi Regency as a strategic step to improve access to healthcare services for the community.
Oasis Wangi is an online health consultation platform that operates 24 hours a day. With this system, people in Banyuwangi can consult with medical personnel anytime and anywhere without having to visit a healthcare facility in person for minor complaints.
This innovation aims to make it easier for the public to obtain accurate and fast medical information. Furthermore, the program is expected to reduce queuing burdens at community health centers (puskesmas) or hospitals, making healthcare services more efficient and equitable for all levels of society.
The government hopes that the presence of Oasis Wangi can serve as an example for other regions in Indonesia in utilizing digital technology for the health sector. This step is part of the national health digital transformation effort currently being promoted by the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
With this official launch, the residents of Banyuwangi now have better access to modern healthcare services. It is hoped that this program will continue to grow and provide tangible benefits for improving the quality of life for the community in the future.
