UGM Medical Device Company, Swayasa Prakarsa, Prepares to List on the Indonesia Stock Exchange
Medical device startup PT Swayasa Prakarsa has officially announced its plan for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The company, which is affiliated with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), aims to list on the Indonesia Stock Exchange to strengthen its capital structure and expand its business.
In this corporate action, Swayasa Prakarsa plans to offer 323 million new shares to the public. This amount is equivalent to 30.3 percent of the total issued and fully paid-up capital after the public offering process is completed.
Currently, the company is entering the initial stage of the IPO process, known as the book building period. This stage is conducted to determine the share price that will be offered to prospective investors before the shares are officially listed on the stock exchange's trading board.
Swayasa Prakarsa's move to enter the capital market is expected to support the development of domestic medical device innovation. With the funds raised from the IPO, the company plans to increase production capacity and expand the distribution reach of health products resulting from local research.
This decision is positive news for the national health industry, given the importance of medical device independence in Indonesia. Investors are now awaiting the results of the book building period to gauge market interest in the shares of this health technology research-based company.
