Ahead of the 35th NU Muktamar, Kiais Produce Five Important Recommendations
Ahead of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Muktamar (General Conference) which will be held in Jombang, East Java, kiais from across Indonesia gathered to conduct strategic discussions. The meeting, known as a Halaqah, took place in Sidoarjo and was attended by religious leaders from various regions.
This activity aimed to discuss various important issues that will become the main focus of the upcoming Muktamar. The discussion participants sought to align their views regarding the direction of the organization as well as the challenges currently faced by Muslims in Indonesia.
During the meeting, the kiais successfully formulated five main recommendations. These recommendations cover various aspects, ranging from strengthening the organization's role at the grassroots level to strategies for developing Islamic boarding school education in the digital era.
The results of this Halaqah will later be brought and discussed further in the 35th Muktamar forum in Jombang. It is hoped that these recommendations can make a positive contribution to the progress of Nahdlatul Ulama in carrying out its role as the largest Islamic social organization in Indonesia.
This entire series of preparations demonstrates the commitment of the kiais to maintaining unity and strengthening the organization's vision. The public is now awaiting the final results of the Muktamar, which will determine NU's strategic policies for the coming period.
