Earthquake Rocks Indonesia: 38 People Dead and Religious Event Cancelled
A powerful earthquake has just struck a region in Indonesia, causing deep sorrow for the community. According to the latest reports, this natural disaster has resulted in 38 deaths. Authorities are currently continuing the evacuation and search process for victims in the most severely affected areas.
In addition to the loss of life, the earthquake also caused damage to various buildings and critical infrastructure. Rescue teams from the government and humanitarian organizations have been deployed to the scene to provide emergency assistance to residents who have lost their homes or sustained injuries.
Due to this emergency situation, a Catholic festival that was scheduled to be held in the near future has been forced to be cancelled. This decision was made as a mark of respect for the victims and to prioritize safety and focus on post-disaster handling in the region.
The Indonesian government urges the public to remain calm but vigilant regarding the possibility of aftershocks. Residents are also asked to follow official instructions from the authorities and not to easily believe information that has not been verified on social media.
Currently, the government's main focus is to ensure that the basic needs of the survivors are met, including the provision of evacuation tents, clean water, and healthcare services. Support from various parties is expected to accelerate the recovery process for the communities affected by this disaster.
