25 Years Since the 9/11 Tragedy: Victims' Families Still Await Justice
Twenty-five years have passed since the September 11 attacks, known as 9/11, in the United States. Although time continues to move forward, the deep wounds are still felt by the families of the victims who, to this day, have not received legal closure regarding the tragedy.
The legal process related to these attacks continues to move slowly, causing disappointment for many parties. One of the victims' family members, Tom Resta, expressed that this long wait of a quarter-century has felt very heavy because the justice they hoped for has yet to be fully realized.
The 9/11 tragedy was a major event that drastically changed world history and global security policies. For the international community, including in Indonesia, this event serves as a reminder of the importance of world peace and stability so that similar tragedies do not recur in the future.
To this day, authorities in the United States continue their efforts to resolve pending cases. The victims' families hope that the legal process can soon reach a turning point, allowing them to find peace after years of waiting for answers regarding the event that took their loved ones.
