The Number of Healthcare Workers in Indonesia Reaches 1.97 Million
The latest data from GoodStats shows that the number of healthcare workers in Indonesia has now reached 1,973,924 people. This figure includes various healthcare professions spread across all regions of Indonesia to provide services to the public.
In total, there are 35 types of healthcare professions registered in the data. This diversity of professions is crucial to ensure that the public's medical needs, ranging from basic services to specialist care, can be well handled by professionals.
Although the number has reached nearly two million people, the government and relevant parties continue to conduct evaluations. This is done to ensure whether this number is evenly distributed and capable of meeting national needs, especially in areas that still lack access to healthcare facilities.
Equitable distribution of healthcare workers remains a major challenge for the national health system. The government is expected to continue improving the quality and distribution of healthcare workers so that all Indonesian citizens receive proper and prompt access to healthcare.
As a step forward, this mapping of healthcare professions will serve as an important reference in health policy planning. With accurate data, it is hoped that healthcare services in Indonesia can continue to develop and improve for all citizens.
