Malaysia and Indonesia Form Joint Halal Council to Strengthen Cooperation
The Malaysian government has officially announced the formation of the Malaysia-Indonesia Halal Council. This step was taken as a strategic effort to strengthen diplomacy in the halal industry sector between the two neighboring countries.
The council was formed to harmonize standards and policies related to halal products. Through this cooperation, both countries are expected to facilitate the certification process and trade of halal products in both regional and international markets.
In addition to strengthening diplomacy, the formation of this council also aims to increase the competitiveness of halal products from both countries. This collaboration is considered important given that Indonesia and Malaysia are major players in the global sharia economy.
Moving forward, this council will serve as a platform for experts and stakeholders to share information and technology related to the halal industry. It is hoped that this synergy will provide greater economic benefits for the people in both countries.
