UGM, Indosat, and Nvidia Collaborate to Build an AI Technology Center in Indonesia
Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has just established a strategic partnership with telecommunications company Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and global technology giant, Nvidia. This partnership aims to establish an AI Technology Center in Indonesia.
This step was taken in response to the increasingly rapid development of AI technology. Currently, AI technology is not only capable of solving problems with rigid rules, but has also begun to handle more open and complex issues in daily life.
Through this technology center, the three parties are committed to increasing the capacity of human resources in Indonesia in the field of digital technology. This collaboration is expected to accelerate the adoption of AI in various industrial and academic sectors in the country.
In addition to focusing on technology development, this center will also serve as a hub for researchers and students to innovate. With infrastructure support from Nvidia and the extensive network of Indosat, UGM hopes to produce digital talent ready to compete on a global level.
The presence of this AI Technology Center is an important step for Indonesia in facing future challenges. It is hoped that this synergy between the worlds of education and industry can provide a positive impact on the progress of the national digital economy.
