Government Upgrades 66 Regional Hospitals to Strengthen Healthcare Services
The Indonesian government is currently taking strategic steps to improve access to healthcare services in various regions. A total of 66 regional hospitals that previously held Type D status will be upgraded to Type C hospitals.
This step was taken to ensure that people in the regions receive more adequate medical facilities. With the change in status to Type C, these hospitals are expected to be able to provide more comprehensive specialist services than before.
This facility improvement program is part of the government's efforts to strengthen the national health system. With better hospitals at the regency level, the public will no longer need to travel long distances to big cities just to get basic medical care.
In addition to improving physical facilities, the government also plans to increase the number of medical personnel in these hospitals. This is being done so that patient services can run faster and more efficiently in accordance with applicable health standards.
Overall, this policy is expected to reduce the gap in healthcare services between the center and the regions. The government is committed to continuously monitoring the progress of this upgrading process so that its benefits can be immediately felt by all Indonesian people.
