Indonesia and China Form Working Group for Technology and AI Cooperation
The governments of Indonesia and China have officially formed a special working group to strengthen cooperation in the technology sector. This step was taken as an effort to accelerate digital transformation in Indonesia through strategic collaboration with one of the world's technology leaders.
The main focus of this working group is the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Both countries have agreed to explore how AI technology can be applied to increase efficiency in various industrial sectors, such as manufacturing, healthcare, and public services in Indonesia.
In addition to AI development, this cooperation also includes technology transfer. Indonesia hopes to absorb technical knowledge from Chinese experts so that domestic human resources have more competitive capabilities in operating and developing advanced technology independently.
This program is part of Indonesia's long-term vision to become a digital innovation hub in the Southeast Asia region. With support from China, it is hoped that the national digitalization process can proceed faster and provide a positive impact on the community's economic growth.
Moving forward, this working group will hold regular meetings to monitor the progress of the agreed-upon projects. The Indonesian government is committed to ensuring that this cooperation proceeds transparently and provides tangible benefits for the advancement of national technology.
