Government Prepares 2027 Economic Incentives: Tax Relief and Subsidized Mortgages
The Indonesian government is currently drafting a series of economic incentive policies planned to take effect in 2027. This step is being taken as an effort to increase public purchasing power and provide convenience for workers in meeting basic needs, particularly in the housing sector.
One of the main policies being prepared is the expansion of Income Tax (PPh) relief for individual taxpayers. This policy is expected to provide broader fiscal space for the public, allowing them to have a larger net income to manage for their daily lives.
In addition to tax relief, the government will also launch a subsidized Home Ownership Credit (KPR) program. This program is specifically aimed at workers with a fixed income of around IDR 17 million per month. With this subsidy, the government hopes that public access to decent and affordable housing will be significantly widened.
This program is part of the government's long-term economic strategy to maintain national economic stability. It is hoped that with these incentives, the property sector will become active again and provide a positive impact on overall economic growth.
Currently, the government is still finalizing the technical details of the planned policies. The public is advised to monitor official information from the government regarding further terms and conditions before this program is officially implemented in 2027.
