Welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045: OJK Highlights the Importance of Financial Literacy for the Younger Generation
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) of South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi (Sulselbar) has emphasized the importance of financial readiness for Indonesia's younger generation. This is considered a crucial step toward realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, in which the public is expected to possess strong economic independence.
Head of OJK Sulselbar, Moh. Muchlasin, stated that the younger generation needs to start building saving habits early on. One of the recommended instruments is gold savings, which is considered a stable form of investment to preserve asset value in the future.
In addition to saving, the OJK also highlighted the dangers of increasingly prevalent financial fraud. Muchlasin reminded the public, especially the youth, to always be vigilant against various fraud schemes, often referred to as 'pasobis.' Good financial literacy is the key to ensuring that the public is not easily ensnared by illegal investment offers.
Education regarding personal financial management and understanding financial service products is currently a primary focus for the OJK. By possessing sufficient knowledge, the younger generation is expected to manage their income wisely and avoid the risk of losses due to fraud.
In closing, the OJK invites all levels of society to continue increasing vigilance and caution when conducting transactions. Mature financial preparation and a cautious attitude are essential foundations for the younger generation in supporting national economic growth toward the year 2045.
