Indonesia Strives to Increase Exports to Global Markets
The Indonesian government is currently focused on expanding the reach of domestic products into international markets. This step is being taken to leverage the untapped export potential in several key partner countries, namely China, the United States, India, and Japan.
The Ministry of Trade stated that there are many superior Indonesian products that have significant opportunities in the global market. These products include the agricultural sector, the creative industry, and manufactured goods whose quality is already recognized at the international level. The government hopes that this increase in exports can help national economic growth.
To achieve this target, the government will implement various strategies, including simplifying export regulations and providing assistance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In addition, the promotion of Indonesian products abroad will be further enhanced so that they become more familiar to global consumers.
Cooperation with partner countries will also be strengthened through bilateral trade agreements. With better cooperation, trade barriers are expected to be reduced so that Indonesian products can compete at more competitive prices in the destination country markets.
