Ministry of Health Strengthens National Health System with Three Main Principles
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has just announced a strategic step to strengthen the national health system. This step is being taken through the implementation of three main principles: 'One Plan', 'One Budget', and 'One Evaluation'. This policy aims to align health programs across all regions of Indonesia to be more effective and efficient.
The 'One Plan' principle emphasizes the importance of integrated health planning between the central and regional governments. With a single, directed plan, it is hoped that there will no longer be any overlap of programs in the field. This will make it easier for community health centers (Puskesmas) and other health facilities to provide more focused services to the public.
Furthermore, the 'One Budget' principle is designed to ensure that the allocation of health funds is used transparently and is well-targeted. With a centralized and integrated budget system, the government wants to ensure that every rupiah spent provides a tangible impact on improving the quality of public health in various remote areas.
Finally, the 'One Evaluation' principle will serve as an instrument to monitor program success periodically. Through a uniform evaluation system, the government can quickly identify existing obstacles and make improvements if necessary. Accurate data from this evaluation will serve as the basis for future decision-making.
The implementation of these three principles is expected to improve coordination between health agencies in Indonesia.
