Number of Healthcare Workers in Indonesia Reaches 1.97 Million
The Indonesian government has recorded that the number of healthcare workers (nakes) across the country has now reached 1,973,924 people. This data encompasses various health professions spread across different regions to serve the needs of the community.
In total, there are 35 types of healthcare professions registered in the national data. This diversity of professions demonstrates the government's efforts to provide comprehensive health services, ranging from doctors and nurses to other supporting healthcare personnel.
Although the number has reached nearly two million people, the challenge of healthcare worker distribution remains a primary concern. The government continues to strive to ensure that healthcare workers can be distributed evenly, not only in major cities but also in remote areas that require access to medical services.
This data serves as an important reference for the Ministry of Health to evaluate national needs. By mapping the number of healthcare workers based on their professions, the government can determine strategic policies regarding the placement and quality development of human resources in the health sector.
Moving forward, meeting the ideal requirements for healthcare workers is expected to improve the quality of medical services for all Indonesian citizens. The government is committed to continuously monitoring the development of this data to ensure that the national health system functions better.
