Pertamina Tightens Distribution of Subsidized Fuel and LPG with Digital System
PT Pertamina (Persero) is now strengthening its digital system in the distribution process of subsidized fuel (BBM) and LPG. This step was taken to ensure that energy assistance from the government can be received by the people who are truly entitled to it.
In this new system, Pertamina uses the integration of the Population Identification Number (NIK) and a barcode system. Every consumer who wishes to purchase subsidized fuel or LPG is required to register through the digital platform provided by the company.
The use of this technology aims to monitor energy distribution more transparently and accurately. With digital data, Pertamina can prevent the misuse or leakage of subsidy quotas that often occur in the field.
Furthermore, this mechanism also makes it easier for the government to verify beneficiary data. With a system connected directly to the population database, the distribution process is expected to become more efficient and targeted.
Pertamina urges the public to immediately complete the administrative requirements so they can continue to have access to subsidized fuel and LPG. This digital innovation is expected to be a long-term solution in maintaining national energy security for all Indonesian people.
