Kodim 0616/Indramayu Distributes Clean Water Aid to Residents Affected by Drought
Kodim 0616/Indramayu has just distributed clean water aid to residents in Pabean Ilir Village and Totoran Village, Indramayu Regency. This step was taken as a rapid response to the clean water shortages experienced by the local community due to the long dry season.
During the activity, TNI personnel used tanker trucks to distribute water directly to residential areas. Residents who had been waiting with jerry cans and buckets appeared enthusiastic to receive this aid to meet their daily needs, such as cooking and bathing.
The Commander of Kodim 0616/Indramayu stated that this activity is a form of the TNI's concern for the condition of the community in its area of responsibility. His party is committed to continuing to monitor the situation on the ground and is ready to provide additional assistance if the clean water crisis continues in the region.
In addition to distributing water, the Kodim also appealed to the public to remain wise in using water during the dry season. The local regional government is also continuing to coordinate with various parties to ensure that water supplies remain available for the residents most in need.
This assistance is expected to ease the economic burden on residents who usually have to buy clean water at quite high prices during the dry season. The synergy between the TNI and the regional government is a key factor in handling the drought problems that occur in the Indramayu region every year.
