Universitas Brawijaya Conducts Mental Health Screening for 17,000 New Students
Universitas Brawijaya (UB) has just made history by holding a simultaneous mental health screening for all new students. A total of 17,000 students participated in this program as part of the new academic year's campus orientation series.
This activity aims to map the psychological condition of students from the moment they begin their higher education. The university wants to ensure that every student receives appropriate support if they experience pressure or mental health issues during their studies.
In the process, students were asked to fill out a questionnaire designed by psychology experts. The collected data will be analyzed professionally to provide an overview of the stress levels, anxiety, and mental well-being of these new students.
This step has received appreciation as it is considered a form of the campus's concern for the mental health of the younger generation. Universitas Brawijaya hopes that this program can serve as an example for other universities in Indonesia in creating a healthy and supportive learning environment.
In conclusion, this initiative shows that mental health has now become an important priority in the world of education in Indonesia. Through early detection, the university can provide better guidance so that students can complete their studies optimally.
