BRIN Develops New Technology for Cancer Therapy in Indonesia
The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has just introduced the latest innovation in the medical world in Indonesia. They are developing a technology called Accelerator-Based Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (AB-BNCT) to assist in the healing process for cancer patients.
AB-BNCT technology is a new generation of cancer therapy that uses a particle accelerator. This method works by specifically targeting cancer cells without damaging the surrounding healthy cells. It is hoped that this will provide more effective treatment results for patients.
The development of this technology is being carried out by BRIN as an effort to improve the quality of domestic healthcare services. With this accelerator-based technology, Indonesia aims to reduce its reliance on conventional cancer treatment methods, which may have greater side effects for patients.
Currently, the BRIN research team continues to conduct preparations and testing so that this technology can soon be used widely. This step is part of the government's commitment to advancing national health research for the well-being of the Indonesian people.
The presence of AB-BNCT is expected to be a new hope for many cancer patients in the country. BRIN is optimistic that this innovation will bring about a major change in the standard of cancer treatment in Indonesia in the future.
