Bio Farma Launches New Vaccine to Prevent Typhoid Fever in Indonesia
State-owned pharmaceutical company, Bio Farma, has just introduced their latest vaccine called Bio-TCV. This vaccine was developed specifically to help the Indonesian people prevent typhoid fever, more commonly known as 'tipes'.
Typhoid fever remains a fairly serious health issue in Indonesia. This disease is typically transmitted through food or drinks contaminated with the Salmonella typhi bacteria. Therefore, effective preventive measures are highly necessary to protect the health of the general public.
The presence of the Bio-TCV vaccine is expected to serve as an additional solution in the national immunization program. With this vaccine, Bio Farma aims to strengthen the public's immune system against infectious diseases, so that the risk of typhoid spread in various regions can be significantly suppressed.
Bio Farma stated that preventing infectious diseases requires an integrated approach, not only through environmental hygiene but also through vaccination. This vaccine is designed to provide better protection for both children and adults.
As a next step, the public is urged to always maintain a clean and healthy lifestyle. The use of the Bio-TCV vaccine is expected to be a concrete step in improving the quality of health for the Indonesian people in the future.
