Indonesian Medical Professors Council Oversees Revision of Government Health Regulation
The Indonesian Medical Professors Council (MGBKI) is currently paying special attention to the revision process of Government Regulation (PP) Number 28 of 2024. This step was taken to ensure that the health regulations being drafted remain in line with the legal and constitutional corridors applicable in Indonesia.
In its statement, MGBKI emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of the Constitutional Court's decisions at every stage of the regulation's revision. The professors are committed to ensuring that the resulting regulations have a strong scientific foundation while upholding medical professional ethics.
The main focus of this oversight is to ensure that the new health policies remain centered on the interests of the wider community. MGBKI hopes that every point in the PP revision can provide maximum protection for patients and support a better healthcare service system in the future.
In addition to the legal aspect, MGBKI also highlighted the importance of involving experts in the drafting process of these regulations. By involving experienced medical personnel, it is hoped that the resulting regulations will not only be administrative in nature but also relevant to the real health challenges currently faced by the Indonesian people.
As a closing step, MGBKI stated that it will continue to monitor the progress of this revision transparently. They hope that the government remains open to input from various parties so that the health regulations eventually enacted will truly provide long-term benefits for all Indonesian people.
