Expanding 5G Network, XL Axiata Supports Digital Economic Growth in Indonesia
PT XL Axiata Tbk continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting digital economic transformation in Indonesia. This step is realized through the expansion of 5G network coverage, which is now beginning to reach remote areas of the country. This initiative is expected to help people in remote regions gain access to faster and more stable internet.
The presence of 5G technology is a strategic move for the company to improve the quality of telecommunications services for its customers. With internet speeds significantly higher than previous generations, the public is expected to utilize this technology for various productive needs, such as online education, healthcare services, and local business development.
In addition to providing easier access for individuals, this network expansion also aims to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Through better internet connectivity, business owners in regional areas can more easily market their products to a wider market via digital platforms, which will ultimately drive regional economic growth.
XL Axiata stated that the development of this infrastructure will continue to be carried out in stages across various regions in Indonesia. The company's main focus is to ensure that the digital divide between big cities and remote areas can be reduced, so that the benefits of the digital economy can be felt by all levels of society equally.
Overall, this step is part of Indonesia's major effort to accelerate national digitalization. With the support of an increasingly extensive network infrastructure, it is hoped that the digital economic ecosystem in Indonesia will become stronger and capable of competing at a global level in the future.
