Police Secure Dozens of Motorcycles with 'Brong' Exhausts in Mandau and Bathin Solapan Regions
The police in the Mandau and Bathin Solapan regions of Riau have just conducted a crackdown on motor vehicles using non-standard exhausts, often referred to as "brong" exhausts. This operation was carried out to maintain traffic order and public comfort on the roads.
During the activity, officers successfully secured seven motorcycles found to be using noisy exhausts. The use of this type of exhaust is considered a violation of traffic regulations because it produces a very loud noise that disturbs the peace of local residents.
In addition to seizing the vehicles, the police also issued warnings to riders, especially young people, to always comply with traffic regulations. Officers emphasized that modifying vehicles with brong exhausts is not only against the law but also endangers the safety of the riders themselves and other road users.
Vehicle owners caught in the raid were asked to immediately replace their exhausts with factory-standard ones before being allowed to take their motorcycles home. This firm step was taken as a preventive measure to reduce the number of traffic violations in the area.
This enforcement activity is expected to increase public awareness regarding the importance of driving ethics. The police stated that they will continue to conduct routine patrols to ensure that the streets in Mandau and Bathin Solapan remain safe, orderly, and comfortable for the entire community.
