Ministry of Youth and Sports Sends Indonesian Youth to China to Study Digital Economy

The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) of the Republic of Indonesia has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of human resources. Through the 2026 Indonesia Youth Leadership Capacity Building Program (IYLCBP), the government plans to send Indonesian youth to learn directly in China.

This program is designed to equip the younger generation with skills in strategic fields that are growing rapidly. The main focus of this training includes the digital economy, technological innovation, and entrepreneurship. The government hopes that participants will be able to absorb knowledge and experience from the digital economic progress in that country.

In addition to gaining technical knowledge, this program also aims to build leadership qualities among the participants. By studying the innovation ecosystem in China, it is hoped that Indonesian youth will be able to bring about positive change and create creative solutions upon returning to their homeland.

Kemenpora emphasizes that this capacity building is crucial for facing future global challenges. Through this international collaboration, youth are expected to have stronger competitiveness in the workforce as well as in building independent businesses.

The 2026 IYLCBP program is expected to be a concrete step in molding an innovative and adaptive young generation. The government continues to encourage young people to take advantage of this opportunity to broaden their horizons and contribute to the progress of the digital economy in Indonesia.
