Government Communication Agency Strategy in Responding to Criticism and Negative Narratives
The Indonesian government, through the Communication Agency (Bakom), is now strengthening its public communication strategy to respond to various criticisms and negative narratives circulating in society. This step is taken as an effort to ensure that information regarding government policies is conveyed accurately and transparently to the public.
In practice, the government is focusing on the use of digital media and social media platforms to provide quick clarifications. This approach aims to rectify information deemed incorrect or unfounded, so that the public does not gain a false understanding of the national programs currently being implemented.
In addition to providing clarifications, the government also emphasizes the importance of open dialogue. Through various communication channels, the government strives to listen to public aspirations so that the policies created can be more relevant to the people's needs. This is seen as a way to build public trust amidst the rapid flow of information.
This strategy is expected to create a healthier space for discussion in Indonesia. With better communication between the government and citizens, it is hoped that misunderstandings can be minimized and public participation in national development can increase positively.
